President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah will inspect the progress at relocation centers for flood victims in the Ohangwena, Oshana, and Omusati regions starting April 19th.

The Presidency announced that these inspections will give Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah insight into the living conditions of displaced residents and allow for monitoring of humanitarian aid delivery.

The President will also assess the effectiveness of ongoing relief and recovery efforts.

“During the visits, President Nandi-Ndaitwah will receive briefings from regional and local authorities, inspect the relocation facilities, and engage directly with affected families,” the Presidency stated.

These interventions highlight the government's commitment to a people-centered, responsive, and coordinated approach to disaster management, emphasizing the urgency of strengthening national resilience against climate-change-related disasters.
