Malaria outbreak claims 28 lives in northern regions

28 people have died so far due to the malaria outbreak in the northern regions of the country.

During a press conference, the Ministry of Health and Social Services stated that the Ohangwena region is the epicenter of the outbreak, with more than 50 percent of reported cases.

The Namibia Statistics Agency has commended people in the northern regions for their cooperation since the commencement of the census two weeks ago.

Its Deputy Statistician General, Ottilie Mwazi, singled out the Oshana, Ohangwena, Oshikoto, and Omusati Regions.
