As the Swapo Party celebrates its 65th anniversary, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called for a renewed commitment to building a brighter, fairer, and more just Namibia.

In her statement, President Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasized the importance of collective efforts among party members, asserting that no obstacle is insurmountable.

She reminded the Swapo Party's members of their founding ideals—solidarity, freedom, and justice—and urged them to rededicate themselves to hard work, honesty, and integrity.

The President encouraged members to remain vigilant and dedicated to preserving the Party as a vehicle for social transformation, ensuring that the benefits of their hard-won freedom reach every Namibian.

The Head of State called for unity and a commitment to quality service delivery, urging full implementation of the Swapo Party election manifesto in preparation for the upcoming regional and local elections.

Nandi-Ndaitwah urged party members in public office to lead by example, reiterating her expectation that they serve without expecting extra rewards from the people.

She reflected on the Party's achievements regarding gender parity, highlighting its 'Zebra Style' approach in all structures, which stands as a symbol of progress and a trendsetter in Africa.

The policy, adopted at the party's 2002 congress, reinforces that true transformation requires the involvement of every citizen in the pursuit of equity and justice.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah also paid tribute to the countless heroes and heroines who contributed to the nation's independence, including the late leaders Hage Geingob and Sam Nujoma, who passed away in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

She described their legacies as rooted in bravery and resilience, laying the foundation for peace, political stability, and the rule of law that continues to shape Namibia today.

Finally, the President expressed her gratitude to the party members, supporters, and sympathizers for their backing during the presidential and national elections on November 27, 2024, where she emerged victorious as the nation's fifth head of state.
