President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, along with Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare and other senior government officials, paid a visit to the homes of the grieving families in Okahandja this afternoon.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah visited each home where she joined the families in mourning in prayers and shared her message of condolences.

She personally delivered her words of sympathy and consolation, first to the family of Beyoncé !Kharuxas.

On Friday, authorities found the 15-year-old !Kharuxas's body at the Five Rand informal settlement in Okahandja.

According to the police, she was last seen in the company of an English-speaking man in his 40s in the early morning hours of the 25th, only for her body to be found the same day in the afternoon.

The body was discovered by a livestock herder behind a tree in a bushy area with only a black top on.

The President also visited the family of six-year-old Roslin Fabian, who was a learner at K.W. von Marees Primary School.

Her body was discovered on Friday.

Another murder is that of Ingrid Maasdorp, who was a Grade Zero learner at the same school as Roslin.

The little girl was strangled, raped and discarded in a tunnel under the new bridge along B1 Road in Veddesdal, Okahandja, after she was reported missing on March 20th.

It is one of the never-seen murders in Okahandja, and the President, after her visit to the families, proceeded to the Nau Eib Stadium to address the community.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah says it is worrisome for such things to take place in a small town such as Okahanja.

She says her priority is to ensure that safety and peace are maintained in Okahandja, adding that the government and law enforcement are hard at work to find the culprit.

She urged the community members to join hands and assist in any way they can, and not withhold any information that could lead to an arrest.

She says the law enforcement, including NDF, will be heavily patrolling the town, and a curfew will be implemented until the perpetrator on the loose is caught.
