Today marks a historic milestone for Namibia, as the country prepares to send its very first consignment under the African Continental Free Trade Area, or AfCFTA - framework, from the Walvis Bay harbour.
This momentous step moves Namibia from planning to actively trading within Africa's largest free trade zone, unlocking access to a vast N$1.3 trillion market.
The AfCFTA agreement aims to boost intra-African trade by eliminating tariffs and encouraging industrialisation, creating new opportunities for Namibian businesses of all sizes - from large exporters to small and medium enterprises.
