The number of charges in the ongoing NAMCOR corruption case has risen to 71.

However, the state has not yet fully disclosed all documents to the legal representatives of the accused.

Prosecutors have indicated their intention to submit the remaining documents to the legal teams of the accused persons and want the matter to stand down until this afternoon to allow for proper disclosure.

Some legal representatives opposed the application to stand the matter down.

Imms Mulunga's lawyer, Francois Bangamawabo accused the state of being malicious.

Lawyer Sisa Namandje accused the state of applying delay tactics and asked the court to proceed with the scheduled bail applications, he said the state has not yet informed his clients of what crimes they have committed.

Namandje also accused the state of thumb-sucking the alleged N$480 million that has, according to the state, been embezzled by the accused persons.

Cornelius Willemse's lawyer, Milton Engelbercht, said he is yet to consult with his client and will apply for bail in due course.
