The Namibian Police, working together with the Windhoek City Police, have apprehended five suspects involved in armed robbery and murder cases.

One of the suspects, Elias Haifete, a.k.a. Small Boy, was arrested in connection with the murder of Windhoek businesswoman Fiina Nghifikwa on July 22, in Kigali Street, Wanaheda.

The other suspects are Simon Lukas, a.k.a. Bigshow; Lotto Haindongo; Pinias Haiduwa, a.k.a. Bokie; and Amon Hainkali.

The suspects are wanted in connection with several armed robberies and Nghifikwa's murder, all having occurred between April and July 2025.

The suspects were arrested today at 11:00 in Windhoek in the Lafrenz Industrial/Monte Christo area, following a week of intensive investigations and coordinated intelligence-led operations.

They were found in possession of three firearms, two knives, and six balaclavas.

Police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi commended the officers and community, particularly those who continue to collaborate with the police by providing necessary information, adding that such actions will help root out all those criminals.

Shikwambi emphasised that community safety is a collective responsibility and issued a warning to potential criminals, stating that "the law will always catch up with you."

The arrested suspects are scheduled to appear in the Katutura Magistrate's Court on Thursday, August 31.
