Bail has been denied for the five men arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the Big Boss Casino Bar in Mondesa, Swakopmund.

The police in the Erongo Region have arrested two suspects in connection with Wednesday's robbery at Beefco Meat Market in Walvis Bay.

The two suspects were allegedly shopping at the mall when members of the public tipped the police off.

Matroos Raymond and Rajiv Jossep, accused of raping and murdering 29-year-old Quinteline Bonnita ǂEixas, a mother of four, in 2021, pleaded not guilty to both charges in the Katutura Magistrate's Court.

ǂEixas' s lifeless body was discovered on the premises of a church in Katutura by a caretaker.

Two men and a woman found in possession of close to N$40 000 worth of cannabis made their appearance in the Rundu Magistrate Court.

The three, Robert Jombi Likuwa, Mushambe Kakuru and Veronica Ruhupwa were arrested at Tuhingireni settlement.

Eight suspects were arrested at Rundu after a Grade 2 teacher was robbed by two men while she was teaching at the Rudolf Ngondo Primary School on Thursday.

It is alleged that the teacher withdrew an amount of N$14,000 from a local bank, meant for the regional sports event before she headed to school.
