A 34-year-old woman, Anje Nauhaus, has appeared in the Swakopmund Magistrate's Court in connection with the tragic helicopter accident near the Swakopmund airport.
Nauhaus is accused of fraud, forgery, uttering, and a violation of the Civil Aviation Act.
She is also charged with culpable homicide.
It is alleged that the suspect unlawfully and intentionally misrepresented a fake, forged, and altered certificate of the registration and flight test permit of the helicopter that crashed last week.
The state has objected to bail, saying the offence is serious and there are fears that the suspect might interfere in the investigation.
Public prosecutor Annita Likius said it is not in the interest of the public and that the suspect is a flight risk.
Magistrate Nelao Brown has postponed the case to October 2, but the defence lawyer is expected to bring a formal bail application to court.
A Chief Pilot and Pilot Instructor at the Flying School Company, Jacques Jacobs, and 29-year-old Dirk Von Weidts, an aviation engineer, perished in the accident.
