Waterberg Junior Secondary School walked away with first place in the junior and secondary levels of the Rehabeam Ujaha's Math Quiz Competition.

In memory of one of the longest-serving mathematics teachers at Waterberg, the late Ujaha, the school held a math quiz competition in his honour.

Different schools from the primary to secondary levels of the Okakarara Constituency competed in the quiz competition.

The idea is for learners to build love towards the subject.

Waterberg Junior Secondary School is one of the best performers in the Otjozondjupa Region and won first prize at both the junior and secondary levels.

Okakarara Primary School took first place in the primary category, followed by Coblenz Combined School.

Other schools that participated in this year's first edition of Ujaha's math quiz competition included Okondjatu, Ludwig Ndinda Okaepe, and Okakarara Secondary School.

The competition was sponsored by the Ritja Career Fair.
