In an effort to have more young people participate in the National Youth Development Fund, the Otjozondjupa Region trained youth on how to write business plans while answering questions they might have regarding the application process.

The training took place in Otjiwarongo.

Reducing unemployment is a priority for the Otjozondjupa Region.

It is against this background that the leaders took time to engage with the youth on running successful businesses.

The idea is for them to apply for the National Youth Development Fund, which is established to provide financial and technical assistance to the youth through loans.

Ndivhuho Moyo, the trainer, says the turnout over the three days was satisfactory, with more than 200 participants daily.

Otjiwarongo Constituency Councillor Paulus Nekundi calls for the youth to not let the opportunity slip through their fingers. 

The Otjozondjupa Governor John ||Khamuseb was the mastermind behind the youth training programme. 

He says there are great options that the youth in Otjozondjupa can venture into that would make a positive contribution towards the region.
