NamPost will ensure comfort and safety for senior citizens during the rollout of the social grants come 1st October, when it takes over from Epupa Investment Technology.

NamPost Chief Executive Officer Festus Hangula made this assurance in response to community activist Johannes |Gaseb's concerns about senior citizens enduring long queues without accessing basic facilities.

Many of them, he said, are frail and in need of comfort and dignity.

|Gaseb has requested NamPost to provide ablution facilities, seating and shelter, support for the physically challenged and security for safety.

Hangula assured the public that Nampost is committed to improving the services and will keep engaging stakeholders to ensure the needs of the elderly are met.
