The !Aman Traditional Authority Council members paid a courtesy call to ǃNamiǂNûs Constituency councillor Suzan Ndjaleka. 

The purpose of the visit was to brief the regional councillor on their planned protest march to the NamPort office in Lüderitz, where they intend to hand over a petition in support of expansion plans for the local harbour, located near Shark Island. 

In the past, the Nama Traditional Leaders Association rejected the expansion plans to some parts of Shark Island, citing the presence of the graves of their ancestors who were killed during the German genocide against the Nama and Ovaherero people.
