The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) is having an exhibition stand at the Intra-African Trade Fair in Algiers to promote local products and trade and attract investment.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi expressed confidence and optimism about Namibia's efforts to promote local products, emphasising that such initiatives will boost intra-African trade and benefit the entire continent.

During her visit to the Namibian pavilion at the Intra-African Trade Fair, the Vice President engaged with producers of various Namibian goods, stating that the platform presents a valuable opportunity to access diverse markets across the African continent.

Engaging directly with entrepreneurs showcasing a range of Namibian goods, including pasta, beans, chilli sauces, sweets, hibiscus juice and honey, Witbooi described the exposure as a significant opportunity for them to tap into market opportunities across Africa.

The founders of various Namibian products expressed their gratitude for the NIPDB's involvement in promoting their products, facilitating market exposure and enabling access to regional and continental trade opportunities.

The Namibian pavilion is also showcasing the country's well-developed road infrastructure, which is ranked among the best on the continent.

The strategic road network supports domestic commerce and serves as a vital transport corridor for several neighbouring countries, facilitating regional integration and trade.

Vice President Witbooi reaffirmed Namibia's commitment to the goals of the AfCFTA and said Namibia would continue to invest in infrastructure, industrial capacity, and trade promotion initiatives to position itself as a hub for regional trade.
