The Zambezi Regional Council has suspended its Chief Regional Officer, Regina Ndopu-Lubinda, with immediate effect. She has been suspended with full pay and benefits. 

The suspension follows her arrest last month by the Anti-Corruption Commission over allegations linked to a tender awarded to Linyanti Constituency Councillor Irven Kabunga through her co-accused, Solo Mutelo.

Ndopu-Lubinda and two others are currently on bail for N$50,000.
