Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare encouraged parents to remain steadfast in nurturing their children's dreams, reminding them that every child holds potential that can one day contribute to Namibia's development.
He was speaking at Erongosig Primary School in Usakos during the school's annual prize-giving ceremony.
The prize-giving ceremony was held under the theme "A Technical Future Through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics".
Prime Minister Ngurare described the theme as timely and visionary as the world rapidly shifts towards technology-driven development.
He said the future lies in the hands of the youth, who must be guided and supported to reach their full potential.
Dr. Ngurare also cautioned young people against the use of harmful substances.
The school's overall top performer, a Grade 7 learner named Paulus Haixuna, was celebrated for his outstanding academic achievements.
A grade 3 learner, Linda Kambongi also outperformed her grade, earning the title of Dux learner.
A former learner and now practising law, William Brockerhoff shared his journey from the dusty streets of Usakos to the courtroom.
His story served as a reminder that determination, discipline, and education can overcome even the most challenging beginnings.
"I remember sitting exactly where you are now, full of curiosity, dreams and, of course, a little bit of notice, but I could never have imagined that one day I would return to the school as a speaker to hopefully inspire the next generation."
