President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah wants an assessment of the 500,000 job target, with initiatives undertaken over the last seven months.

Speaking at the inaugural Namibia Public-Private Forum (NamPPF), she reminded the nation that the 8th administration set out to create 500,000 jobs in the next five years.

"We have started with the Youth Fund. While job creation may not rest solely with the government, it is our responsibility to create the environment in which businesses can grow and hire. This includes removing barriers, cutting red tape and ensuring that the enterprise thrives."
