The Regional Electoral Officer for Oshikoto, Ester Hipangelwa, says preparations for the November Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections are progressing smoothly and are firmly on track.

Hipangelwa confirms that the electoral team has already received both the sensitive and non-sensitive election materials, as well as the materials required for special voting.

The special voting process will take place on 24 November across all 11 constituencies of the region.

Oshikoto will deploy 269 election teams across the region, comprising 183 fixed teams and 86 mobile teams.

The Nehale lya Mpingana constituency will have the largest team of 37 officials, followed by Omuthiya with 36 teams, and Omuntele with 34 teams.

On the lower end, Guinas will have the smallest team with 13 officials, followed by Onayena constituency with 17 teams and Olukonda with 18 teams, respectively.

Hipangelwa says the region is committed to ensuring a smooth, credible and efficient electoral process for all voters.
