Landless People's Movement (LPM) National Spokesperson Lifalaza Simataa said the party will soon provide its official reaction to the 2025 Regional Councils and Local Authorities election results, after losing control of strongholds in the Hardap and ||Kharas Regions.

Speaking to NBC News Acting Assistant Editor Lahia Hatutale, Simataa dismissed rumours of internal friction or disputes with the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN). "Our stances still maintain on how they have conducted themselves in the issues that they have raised time and time again," he said. "There is no change in that discussion, and there is no friction that led to the dispute that we have with the ECN. There is no internal friction that led to that dispute."

Simataa emphasised that the question stems from rumours, noting that the party has consistently expressed its position on ECN matters, particularly in localities where LPM underperformed. Legal challenges, if pursued, will be announced by party president Bernadus Swartbooi or David Eigub when they react to the results.
