The First Gentleman, Epaphras Ndenga Ndaitwah, has reminded leaders to serve with integrity and to have organisational vision and empower employees.

Ndaitwah said leaders should understand that when serving in public or private enterprises, one should remember that the beginning is always difficult but gets better with good strategic plans.

"Empower people as you are sitting around here. If you don't have the capacity to empower people, then you are not a leader. Inspire people; people must say, 'Hey, the way she conducted it, I wish it could be me.' You are inspiring the people. You have people under you. God is great, in that I do not know you or where you work, but I know a few. How many people in your organisation have you inspired?.

He said leaders, especially those who occupy positions such as CEOs, should tackle challenges head-on.

"Sometimes we say thank God for giving me this job, without knowing you have made yourself a candidate for challenges. As CEO, that is your price tag. You have a certain value. You are no longer simple Denga. Even in our families we have a price tag, because my children don't simply call me Denga; they call me 'Dad'. That is my price tag in the family context. But you should not have a price tag, and you don't value it."

Ndaitwah further encouraged leaders in attendance to adapt and be flexible in every circumstance.
