The construction of the new police station in Windhoek's Okuryangava area is showing progress, with completion slated for April 2026.

Steel foreman on site Petrus Alfeus told nbc News that they have not experienced any challenges, apart from the lack of building material that caused a slight delay.

The construction of the new Babylon Police Station includes special works aimed at modernising the facility designed to support law enforcement operations and enhance community safety.

"We started in April this year, even though we were supposed to start in early January, but it's only that due to the land issue, we got delayed. That is why you can see the guys have already started, so we are really pushing at least to meet the deadline," says Alfeus.
