Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro appeared in a U.S. court following his capture and transfer to the United States.
Maduro pleaded not guilty to four charges, including narco‑terrorism conspiracy, cocaine‑importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess weapons.
The court set procedures for future hearings.
Maduro’s lawyers are expected to challenge the jurisdiction and legality of his detention.
