Venezuela's Ambassador applauds growing bilateral relations with Namibia

Venezuela's Ambassador to Namibia says he is proud of the trajectory of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Omar Paredes paid a courtesy call on President Nangolo Mbumba at State House earlier on Wednesday.

The recent inaugural Namibia-Venezuela Joint Commission of Cooperation meeting saw the identification of critical economic areas of interest, including mining, agriculture, and housing.

Potential products for trade from both sides identified encompass fish, beef, salt, minerals, and petroleum, among others.

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation has called on Namibia to take advantage of the Joint Commission of Cooperation with Venezuela.

Nandi-Ndaiwah was speaking during the closing of the inaugural session of the Namibia-Venezuela Joint Commission for Cooperation in Windhoek.

The joint commission focuses on areas such as mining, housing and urban development, agriculture, food security, education, the arts and culture, gender equality, and trade.

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation has called on Namibia to take advantage of the Joint Commission of Cooperation (JCC) with Venezuela.

The JCC will focus on areas such as mining, housing and urban development, agriculture and food security, education, the arts and culture, gender equality, and trade.

Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah specifically pointed out that Namibia gives great focus to agriculture and food security.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has concluded her visit to Caracas, Venezuela.

She had been in Venezuela on a working visit since December 18 at the invitation of Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Tortosa.

During their meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed their resolve to continue strengthening their strategic relations at the highest level and expand the agenda of collaboration in key strategic sectors including energy, agriculture, commerce and industry, arts and culture, education, and tourism.
