Vice President Lucia Witbooi has departed for Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to attend the Sustainability Week Summit.
The event, which will be attended by global leaders and industry stakeholders, aims to advance dialogue on sustainable development, industrialisation, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
The summit focuses on turning global commitment into practical actions, particularly for developing countries and emerging economies.
Vice President Wibooi explained that the Summit will enable Namibia to attract investment, strengthen global partnerships, and accelerate Namibia's transition to renewable energy and climate resilience.
“The Summit will focus on turning global commitment into practical actions through partnership and investment. The expected outcome for the Summit will be to strengthen our international partnership, and the engagement will also support the knowledge and technology transfer, improving Namibia's global visibility and promoting inclusive development.”
