Junior golf in Namibia is entering a new phase, with organisers outlining development plans for the 2026 season.

Director of Namibian Junior Golf and Momentum Kids Series organiser Damian De Seliva says the focus going forward is on building a foundation for junior golfers across the country. The plans focus on a long-term development structure that introduces golf at a young age and provides a clear pathway for player progress.

"Our focus is development. We want children to be introduced to golf early, enjoy the game, and have a structure that helps them grow. We are working on a junior school league to work with schools, identify players, and give more children regular competition," Damian De Seliva said.

As part of this new era, the branding of the sport's primary development platform has been updated to better align with its target audience.

"From now on, the Momentum Junior Series will be called the Momentum Kids Series, which reflects the age group we are working with," Damian De Seliva added.

While the major changes are aimed at 2026, the upcoming season is already planned, with junior golfers expected to return to competition soon. What remains certain is that the Momentum Kids Series continues to support junior golf development in Namibia, ensuring that a new generation of players has the opportunity to succeed.
