Lawyer Kadhila Amoomo has described the court matter of his client D-Naff as "stillborn" and stated that it never developed beyond the embryonic stage. 

Amoomo said the charges were "dead upon arrival.” 

The renowned gospel artist D-Naff was released from criminal court proceedings today.

Amoomo said the state failed to advance the case in any meaningful way, resulting in the proceedings collapsing before trial. 

D-Naff, whose real name is Naftalie Amukwelele, was arrested in October 2025 on charges of forgery and uttering forged documents. 

The allegations related to Namibian Revenue Agency documentation, which authorities claimed had been falsified.
