Ten countries have reaffirmed diplomatic relations with Namibia, identifying priority areas of cooperation including trade, tourism, infrastructure development, and various exchange programmes.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Monday received letters of credence from the envoys of the ten countries at State House.

The newly accredited Heads of Mission represent Kenya, Botswana, Gabon, New Zealand, and Georgia.

Envoys from Ireland, Tunisia, Mauritania, Vietnam, and Guinea also presented their letters of credence.

They also outlined their priority areas in relations with Namibia.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah urged the diplomats to build on the long-standing and cordial relations between Namibia and their respective countries by exploring new areas of cooperation in line with the international rules-based order.

She reminded them that a number of signed agreements are already in place, and it is now for the Heads of Mission to implement them.
