The body of an unidentified man was found by a community member on Wednesday morning beneath a bridge on Maria Mwengere Street in Rundu, Kavango East Region.

Kavango East Crime Investigations Coordinator Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu said the deceased is believed to be a San person, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old.

The deceased was wearing a dark blue jersey and white denim shorts. A paramedic certified him dead at the scene.

Deputy Commissioner Kanyetu said no suspicious injuries were observed on the body.

The remains were transported to Rundu State Hospital mortuary for further police investigations and a post-mortem.

Police are now trying to trace his family to establish the man's identity.
