The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) staff hosted a pre-independence celebration today as the nation readies itself to commemorate another year of freedom and self-determination.

The event brought together staff members, showcasing a vibrant display of patriotism and cultural pride.

The pre-independence celebration serves as a platform to reflect on Namibia’s journey since gaining independence while also honouring the sacrifices made by liberation heroes and heroines.

Different radio stations showcased their cultural items and traditional dances, highlighting the nation’s rich heritage.

The Director-General of NBC, Stanley Similo, said that 21 March is a significant moment for the nation, urging Namibians to embrace unity and reflection.

He commended NBC staff for maintaining a strong spirit of togetherness despite challenges, emphasizing that unity remains key to the institution’s success.
