Ohangwena Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa says the region is well prepared to host a memorable 36th independence celebration to be held at Oshikango in Helao Nafidi town. 

The governor urged the residents of the region to participate in the vibrant celebrations, which will feature a variety of performances, speeches, and food for attendees. 

This morning, members of the Namibia Defence Force (NDF) participated in a parade as they prepared to deliver an impressive performance for the crowds tomorrow. 

Rural and Urban Development Minister James Sankwasa is set to be the guest speaker. 

The government has allocated N$250,000 to each of the country’s 14 regions to facilitate the historic simultaneous hosting of the independence celebrations.
