The minister of Works and Transport , has cautioned all Namibians to take responsibility for road safety during the Easter weekend.
Veikko Nekundi emphasised that he wishes for zero vehicle crashes during the Easter holiday.
"We must all spread the message of ordering and driving on our national road every day, every hour and every second. We are navigating on our national road. It is my hope and our hope as a collective that we must have zero crashes on our national road. That is our ultimate objective. And as we are here at the road, it is imperative that I communicate to myself, to you and to the entire nation that we have a moral obligation to save the lives of all. And the body interconnects all citizens whenever they are on our national roads. They are beautiful. Their beauty must mean everything that is intended to be beautiful. Thank you very much for that understanding and appreciation. I'm waiting on Tuesday from the committee commission and the team so that from Thursday to Monday, there are no crashes on our national roads. I want to hear that good news. I will open an alcohol-free champagne."
