The newly appointed Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security officially assumed office this morning, pledging to serve the nation with excellence.

Edward Wambo was welcomed by Minister Lucia Iipumbu during the handover ceremony.

In his remarks, Wambo said he is committed to upholding the responsibilities of the ministry, including maintaining law and order, protecting and supporting migrants, ensuring safe and humane custody, as well as promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders.
