Namibian academic and public management expert Joshua Mario launched a book, "The Art of Family Strategy", which explores the link between business management principles and family life.
Mario says the inspiration for his book came from asking why organisations are able to survive and thrive over time, while many families struggle to stay intact.
This reflection led him to apply business management principles to family life, with the aim of strengthening family structures and promoting long-term stability.
Speaking at the launch, Executive Director in the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare emphasised the importance of strengthening families as a foundation for national development.
Lydia Indombo was speaking on behalf of First Gentleman Epaphras Ndaitwah.
At the launch, Mario also donated N$15,000 to the Office of the First Gentleman to support programmes aimed at uplifting the boy child.
The contribution forms part of ongoing efforts to address challenges facing young boys and promote positive development through targeted initiatives.
The initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen family structures and support youth development in Namibia.
