President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed economist Shali Shindume as her Economic Advisor, effective from June 1st.

The Presidency, in a statement, said Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed confidence in Shindume's ability and commitment with which he will discharge his duties, including professionalism, dedication, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Shindume, until his appointment as Presidential Advisor, served as Head of Public Sector Banking at Bank Windhoek.

His key areas of focus include banking and financial services, impact investment, and public and private sector finance collaboration, among others.

The Presidency congratulated Shindume and wished him well in executing his responsibilities.
