The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture has opened the third and final 2026 application window for subsidised tertiary education funding.

The Ministry says 55,987 applications have been received during the first two application periods and warns that no further application window will be opened after 7 October. 

The announcement was made by Minister Sanet Steenkamp on Monday.
