The !Nami#Nus Swapo Party District Youth League in the ||Kharas Region has condemned what they called political attacks on the Luderitz Waterfront Development Company.

The condemnation follows a statement by Independent Patriot for Change member Michael Mwashindange in the National Assembly who called for an investigation into alleged financial irregularities at the company.

He alleged the company's CEO Samuehl Fluksman claimed fees for attending board meetings and approved his subsistence and travel allowances - the claims Fluksman rejected as unfounded.

!Nami#Nus District youth wing Secretary for Information, Publicity and Mobilisation Jisreel !Naruseb described the allegations as reckless, baseless and defamatory.

Moreover, !Naruseb said the Parliamentarian made unsubstantiated allegations against the leadership that is not represented in the House.

He highlighted society expects the opposition parties to hold the government accountable through informed debates that would result in practical solutions to national challenges.

The youth wing challenged Mwashindange report the matter to the Anti-Corruption Commission as well as to substantiate the allegations within seven days.
