Series coming soon The history of Namibia has passed through several distinct stages from being colonized in the late nineteenth century to Namibia's independence on 21 March 1990. The routes through which the country travelled, still plays a significant role in our lives. From the 18th century, when Namibia was colonized by Germany, to South Africa’s illegal occupation in the 1900’s, this Land of the Brave men and women, managed to survive a brutal and painful experience during which many inhabitants lost their lives. Thus, the untold history of our people and culture remains our duty as members of the media to narrate their ordeal on what they really went through, for us to be enjoying this freedom today. We intend to produce a series about Namibian history relating to: Routes travelled by Namibians during the liberation struggle History of Namibia’s Independence History of the Ovambo people in Namibia History of the Nama-Damara people in Namibia History of the Herero people in Namibia History of people of the Zambezi people in Namibia History of the Kavango people in Namibia History of the Himba people in Namibia History of the Bastwana people in Namibia Keep in touch with our educational programs, as we educate you about the history of the beloved country, Namibia
