The Otjiwarongo Municipality is still looking for resources to evict illegal settlers at Camp Five.
Residents' structures were to be demolished last week, but that did not happen due to a lack of manpower and structures to impound livestock.
Some of the residents at Camp 5 settled there as far back as 2016, but the land had already been earmarked for residential plots.
Devastated farmers who have not yet been relocated are still at the camp and have been going from one office to the other, wanting to know where they will be relocated.
The governor's office is still in discussion with stakeholders and could not provide the evictees with any satisfactory response.
Meanwhile, Otjiwarongo Mayor Gottlieb Shivute has confirmed that they will soon start impounding livestock while sourcing manpower to demolish structures.
A fine of N$249.00 per day will be applicable for every livestock impounded.
Shivute says the Council reserves the right to apply any laws and regulations to this effect.
Similar measures will also be taken against farmers at the Helao Nafidi Garden, who have also been served with eviction letters that were due on Friday, September 23rd.
