||Kharas Governor Aletha Frederick has reiterated that collective efforts are needed to fight corruption, thereby maintaining a healthy nation.

She was speaking at a regional stakeholders meeting that deliberated on the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan Implementation at Keetmanshoop.

Frederick says the regional platform was created to share information and engage stakeholders regarding the progress of implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan.

"The National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan serve as a tool fostering cooperation and continued synergy in attaining the national vision for a corrupt-free Namibia across all sectors and spheres of society."

The Anti-Corruption Commission's Chief Investigator, Junias Iipinge, says the complexity of cases, hostile witnesses, and lack of manpower are some of the reasons for lengthy delays in investigations.

"Those are some of the difficulties as an investigator you are facing. Sometimes we have to beg a person with a summon, issue a summon, by the way, for this person to come to you and give you information."
