Namibia and Indonesia have agreed to cooperate in empowering youth with technical skills in the agriculture sector.

This was revealed during an engagement between the Omaheke Regional Governor, Pijoo Nganate, and the Ambassador of Indonesia to Namibia, Winsu Edi Pratignyo, at Gobabis in the Omaheke Region.

The two leaders discussed the significance of the agriculture sector and its role in supporting local communities.

The duo also agreed on exchange programs between an Indonesian province and the Omaheke Region, especially in the area of vocational training.

The Indonesian Ambassador assured the Governor that his country is ready to assist the Omaheke Region with some experts from Indonesia in the areas of agriculture and education, amongst others.
