The Board of the Roads Authority has decided to extend the employment contract of Chief Executive Officer Conrad Lutombi for another three years.

The three-year extension is also to allow for the recruitment process to commence timely and facilitate a smooth handover once Lutombi retires.

The extension also comes barely weeks after Lutombi was offered the top job at City Windhoek, whose package he said he was studying at the time.

When contacted for comment, Lutombi stated that his decision to remain at the Roads Authority was motivated not by the lucrative financial package but by his desire to complete the organization's strategic capital projects across the country.
