The Police at Walvis Bay fatally shot Jeremiah Kristof when he allegedly threatened to attack them with an unknown object following a housebreaking incident at Kuisebmond.
NamPol's Erongo's Commander for Community Affairs, Inspector Ileni Shampumba, confirmed the incident that happened in the early hours of this morning.
Two police officers at Kuisebmond Police Station narrated that they responded to a housebreaking report on James Brown Street and upon arrival at the scene, they were told that the suspects escaped after the owner of the house woke up.
They tracked their shoe prints until they found them.
One of the suspects ran away, while Jeremiah Kristof allegedly threatened to attack the officers with an unknown object, but he was eventually shot in the back and in his right arm.
Kristof died at the scene.
