A fight broke out at Westside High School between a group of grade 8 and 9 male learners earlier today at Swakopmund.

It is alleged that the cause of the fight came about when one of the older learners was threatened by a new earner that only started at the school yesterday. 

The new learner was attacked with belt
 buckles causing a massive open wound on the head. 
He was urgently rushed to the hospital by the police. 

The principal, Veneza Rheeder says that the kids are coming to school with sharp objects such as knives and school stationary items such as scissors have also become weapons. 

The working environment the Principal says has become unbearable and the school is losing its fight against disciplining learners.
