Subsistence farmers in the Kavango East Region are worried that they might face drought this year due to a lack of rain.

It has been three weeks since there has been no rain.

The rain came on time this season, so the farmers thought, and they were hopeful of good yields this time around.

Crop fields had already been prepared in November, but crops are now drying up even before they could be harvested, owing to a lack of rain.

Farmers say that if there is no rain in the next two weeks, they will have no harvest at all.
