A mother of a 16-year-old girl this evening declined to press charges after it was alleged that the teenager was sexually assault by a neighbour in Windhoek's Ombili location. The 37-year-old neighbour, who is well known to the family, is an employee of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF). Witnesses reported that the man was found sucking on the teenager’s breast. When she was questioned, she said she and the alleged suspect are dating. She also added that the man has been giving her money and buying her soft drinks. The alleged suspect was taken to a nearby police station for questioning. At the time of speaking to the family, they were awaiting the arrival of the father from Hakahana.
