Namibians are used to seeing the late Namibian leader in many postures, from a tough exterior commanding PLAN combatants on the Eastern Front to pleading with the UN to give the former South West Africa its independence or giving his many speeches in his capacity as Swapo Party leader or Founding President.

People from various church denominations gathered at the Hosianna Evangelical Lutheran Parish in Kuisebmond, Walvis Bay, on Sunday to honour the late Founding President Sam Nujoma.

Prayers and hymns set the tone as those in attendance paid homage to the leader of the People's Liberation Army of Namibia.

The Otjozondjupa region is approximately 90 percent ready to host the regional memorial for founding President Sam Nujoma in Grootfontein on Monday.

Governor James Uerikua stated that the only remaining task for the day of the memorial will be decorating the venue.
