The 2024 Gus Koller Offshore Angling Competition concluded recently along Namibia's coast, highlighting an intense showdown between Namibian and South African anglers.

21 political parties on the list have made the deadline to participate in the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Affirmative Repositioning Movement, the Landless People's Movement, and the Republican Party of Namibia submitted their lists before the 11 o'clock deadline this morning. 

All three independent candidates were not able to make the cut after the verification processes were completed. The three are Elsie Chen, Jeremiah Kaambo, and Aily Angula.

The candidates have until tomorrow at 10:00 to ensure they adhere to the requirements.

The Bank of Namibia has reduced the repo rate by 25 basis points from 7.5% to 7.25%. 

Commercial banks are expected to reduce their prime lending rates by the same margin, from 11.25% to 11%.
