China has approved Namibia's export of mutton and dried fruits.

This was confirmed by President Nangolo Mbumba at his arrival from Beijing, China, today. 

Namibia has secured a significant funding package of 8.8 million euros to bolster its green industrialisation efforts, as announced by Green Hydrogen Commissioner James Mnyupe during the closing of the Global Green Hydrogen Summit in Windhoek.

The Swapo Party Fundraising Gala Dinner raised over N$16 million towards the November election campaign.

The funds came from pledges and the auctioning of valuable photos and paintings of the party's former leaders, including Founding President Sam Nujoma and the late President Hage Geingob.

All People's Party former Vice President Erastus Shuumbwa has parted ways with the party and joined the three-month-old Action Democratic Movement.

Shuumbwa said he left APP this week.

Former parliamentarian Erastus Shuumbwa was suspended from APP early this year.

Proceedings have kicked off for the Swapo Party Electoral College weekend, with Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah calling for unity during the opening of the Party's Central Committee meeting held in the capital this morning.
