UPDATE | Alcohol sales are strictly prohibited this Sunday.

The Police Spokesperson and Deputy Commissioner, Kauna Shikwambi, has issued a clear directive that all liquor outlets must remain closed. 

Namibia has been greylisted by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) because of concerns over the effectiveness of some of its compliance standards with anti-money laundering, combating the financing of terrorism, and combating proliferation financing provisions.

The Oshikoto Regional Governor, Penda ya Ndakolo, has expressed dismay over what he perceives as individuals making light or expressing joy at the death of President Hage Geingob.

Ya Ndakolo addressed a memorial service held in the Oshikoto Region, at the Omuthiya ELCIN Parish.

The Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland, visited the late President Geingob's family. 

Patricia Scotland expressed the deep sense of loss felt by the entire Commonwealth family over the death of Dr. Hage Geingob.
