The 2nd Fun Run organized by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is going to be held in four different towns next month.  The theme for this year's run is "Running for Cancer," which is a global recognition of October as Cancer Awareness Month.

The City of Windhoek remains unmoved by a recent petition delivered by the Katutura Residents Committee. The residents took to the streets a fortnight ago to air their frustrations with high utility bills and the municipality's use of Red Force to collect debt.

The Namibia Blood Transfusion Service (NamBTS) has still not received its reagents from the cargo consignments held at the Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA). The blood testing materials are yet to be found, with some of the items already expired as of September 7.

The mood around next year's national elections can already be felt, with NUDO's MP Josef Kauandenge having tabled a motion to amend the Namibian Constitution's Article 47.
